The Waveney Valley Food & Drink Festival has been replaced by the Diss & Harleston Food & Drink Festival and takes place from the 2nd to the 16th October 2016.
The two week event will showcase a range of delicious food and drink from Norfolk and Suffolk. The first week will focus on Harleston with lots of opportunities to taste different delicacies and go on a food trail around the town and the second week is centred around Diss.
On Saturday, 8th October A Taste of Harleston food event will take place and an enticing street market will fill the Market Place. There will be stalls selling an array of locally-made products, from raw milk and artisan cheese to savoury pies and mouth-watering cakes and pastries, locally-reared beef and turkeys to bottled preserves and fruit liqueurs, artisan bread to garden produce, plus pretty kitchenware and craft products.
In the second week, visitors are invited to taste their way around Diss, with all sorts of events: workshops (learn to make truffels, turn your apples into cider, learn about cheese, wine and gin), food markets, tastings and a beer and gin festival.
The week culminates in the Disscover:Diss Food & Drink Festival, farmers’ market and a beer and gin festival.
