The Pennoyer Centre

As recent winners of the EDP Norfolk Food & Drink Awards 2014, in the Beautiful Baking Category, The Pennoyer Centre cafe prides itself in a range of homemade cakes made by their volunteer ‘bake force’. At the award ceremony, held at the Norfolk Showground on Monday 15 September, the judges said:

Although a very difficult category to choose an overall winner, we were absolutely blown away with the passion, personality and care that goes into every delicious cake baked for the coffee shop. The impact these fabulous bakers have on the local community is clear to see and the team act as proud ambassadors for beautiful Norfolk cakes and bakes.

Morning and afternoon you can choose from scones, biscuits and cakes (citrus poppy seed cake , carrot cake with aubergine butter icing are recent favourites ). At lunch time you can choose from fresh soups, salads and the creative specials of the day perhaps finishing with an ice cream made in our next door village.

The relaxed, smart ambience of the cafe makes it a fine place to meet friends for an informal meal or pot of coffee or tea. In the summer there is a continental café setting where you can sit overlooking the pleasant centre of the village. If you are passing by but don’t have time for a stop off they will even provide you with a take away. For more information about The Pennoyer Centre CLICK HERE
