Snowdrop Festival is between 2-4pm on Saturday 20th January for a celebration of the Snowdrop. Specialist growers will be offering a wide range of seasonal plants including hundreds of varieties of snowdrops. See if you can tell the difference between a £2 and £200 snowdrop! Free Entry.
The Wetland Centre is open daily throughout the year and features a ¾ mile river walk, Heritage Farm, café and farm shop. The site is home to all of the regions rare breed farm animals, such as Suffolk Punch Horses, Norfolk Black Turkeys, Norwich Canaries, Ixworth Chickens and Silver Appleyard Ducks. Alongside the farm animals, visitors are able to meet a selection of native wildlife that are managed as part of educational or conservation projects such as European Cranes, White Spoonbills, Turtle Doves, Fallow Deer and Red Squirrels.
The centre runs a wide selection of activities throughout the year, with an emphasis on art, craft, food and nature.
The farm and wetland shop both support local suppliers and offer a wide range of tasteful and reasonably priced products. The café offer a wide range of home produced cakes and soups, with other confectionary being produced in Harleston.
